The Republicans seem to have the House under wraps in this year’s general election. :/ Click the link and find out the current results and watch the shifts in numbers as all the votes are tallied up. Even Jersey, a very Democratic state, seems to have let the Republicans take over. On the bright side, Pallone is projected to win district 6’s position. Let’s hope my home state has a shot at redemption.

Maybe there are a few sad souls out there who don’t know about the youtube comedian, Glozell, who more recently had her rise to fame. But, you’d have to live under a rock, or something. Anyway, just last week, she twittered about a trip to Boston! As a girl who goes to school up in MA, it was pretty exciting to hear about this. She made an appearance for a meet and greet in Faneuil Hall Market in Boston this past weekend from 6 - 7 pm. A couple of friends were lucky enough to meet her, get pictures, and signatures. I was jealous. I was busy that day and could only meet her after the fact, for dinner. According to a recent twitter, Glozell also plans on hitting up Philly next weekend, so all those in the area, get ready! The exact location of her Philadelphia meet and greet is TBA, but I’ll keep you posted :]

So, I’ve recently gotten into the blogging thing again - and I don’t mean I’m doing the blogging (obviously, look at how barren this one is! haha) - there are so many interesting bloggers out there who are looking to share their wealth of knowledge in whatever it is that they’re good at. For example, my latest thing seems to be beauty blogs - both written and video. Even though I don’t necessarily use all the techniques and products shown in the video/post, I still enjoy watching/reading what beauty bloggers have to say. I learn a lot stylistically that way. I feel like I’ve become more savvy when it comes to makeup and the tools involved in self-beautification. Anyway, I’d just like to share some of my favorite things. Here’s the breakdown:

Hey, hey, hey! I know it’s been ages since I’ve last posted (finals were kicking my ass and moving out/transitioning myself for the summer took up most of my time). Okay, well, good friend of mine is currently taking a theater class to fulfill her creative arts graduation requirement. Unfortunately, that means that she’s backstage creating props and dressing people from six to midnight every day until the day of the show (which happens to be today!). And today happens to also be her boyfriend’s frat’s semi-formal.
So, where does that leave me? Her understudy, naturally. After a messy ordeal, it was decided that I was to go in her stead. Needless to say, I’m nervous. The fam had come up to visit me for the weekend so I’m not even on campus! I have approximately 2.5 hours to get ready and be presentable for tonight’s event. Am I excited? Heck yes. What kind of self-respecting fashion-loving girl does NOT enjoy a good formal? First of all, I’m fully paid for. Second of all, it’s a great opportunity to get all dolled up and show off my best. My dress is posted below (on a model, of course). The only difference is that mine is all black - keeping it classy that way :P It was a huge pain to actually find a picture online because the dress is discontinued. Guess I’m lucky!
That’s all for now. I need to get in some quick studying and then see my family off. Then, I’ll call in my back up.
